Ingersoll Rand Air Wire Rope Hoist Performance
The Ingersoll Rand Air Wire Rope Hoist provides pneumatic lifting performance for demanding industrial applications where controlled load movement and reliable operation are required.
The published 2-ton engineered configuration provides a lifting speed of 42 ft/min with an operating air pressure of 90 psig. The hoist requires approximately 280 SCFM of compressed air under the specified operating conditions.
A pneumatic motorized trolley provides horizontal movement along the supporting beam at approximately 120 ft/min. This combination allows loads to be lifted vertically and transported horizontally using an integrated pneumatic material handling system.
Because Ingersoll Rand wire rope hoist systems may be engineered according to application requirements, final lifting speed, air consumption, trolley configuration, lift height, and other specifications should be confirmed before ordering.
Wire Rope Configuration and Industrial Design
The published configuration uses a two-part line with 3/8-inch EIPS IWRC wire rope and provides approximately 21 ft of vertical lift.
Wire rope construction can provide an effective alternative to load chain in industrial environments where contamination, process material, operating conditions, or application requirements may affect conventional chain hoist operation.
The Ingersoll Rand Air Wire Rope Hoist can be engineered around required lifting capacity, lift height, available compressed air, trolley travel, wire rope configuration, controls, and installation conditions.
Final wire rope size, reeving arrangement, supporting structure, and lifting configuration should be selected according to the specific application.
Industrial Applications
The engineered configuration incorporates an automatic disc brake for controlled load holding and upper and lower limit switches for lifting travel protection.
Operator control is provided through a pendant handle, allowing the hoist and trolley system to be controlled from an appropriate operating position.
The system can be configured according to applicable industrial requirements, operating environment, control requirements, and installation conditions.
Customers should provide complete application information when requesting a quotation so the correct Ingersoll Rand lifting configuration can be identified.
